In 2018, Yuki Koike from Yamagata encountered seaweed farming in Shichigahama, Miyagi Prefecture. There, he witnessed both the devastation caused by the earthquake and the resilience of fishers working tirelessly to rebuild.
Rebuilding wasn't enough—he wanted to preserve the quality and legacy of Shichigahama’s seaweed for future generations. Inspired by the belief that "this will not end here," he fully dived into the world of nori farming.
